In this interactive workshop, Geraldine Doyle will present an overview of Long Distance Healing. She will share how she has incorporated it into her Shiatsu and CranioSacral Therapy practice, as an alternative to hands-on bodywork.
The workshop will include a demonstration of a self-guided technique, as well as an opportunity to give and receive an energetic technique with a long distance partner. There will be a short time for questions.
Long Distance Healing (LDH) is a form of telehealth from a natural therapy perspective. It can be conducted by phone, Skype or Zoom communication platforms.
The process requires a paradigm shift in our thinking of what is possible with health and healing. With (LDH) we open our awareness and explore our inner landscape in a safe therapeutic and grounded way, facilitated and supported by the therapist.
The therapist and client discuss what is going on for the client and then a (LDH) session unfolds.
This workshop aims to provide you with an overview to see if this approach is something that could work in your shiatsu practice. LDH involves a 6-day training course with Healing From the Core in the US. Geraldine has completed this training course and is now undertaking a 2-year mentorship programme as a commitment to her future career as a therapist.
Geraldine is a Shiatsu and CranioSacral Therapist, and her treatment style is informed by both modalities.
Geraldine graduated from Zen Shiatsu Centre Sydney in 1989.
She was certified in CranioSacral Therapy Techniques in 1999 and completed the Diplomate level in 2017. She has worked as a teaching assistant with the Upledger Institute for more than 20 years, and has her practice in Hobart.
