The Shiatsu Therapy Association of Australia is made up of Registered Members who comply with health care standards which include Insurance, First Aid and on going professional development. We also welcome Friends and Associates who do not meet the specific requirement for full registration but do wish to stay up to date with Shiatsu-related news and be part of our community.
Registered Member
$230/annum
This membership level is for people with a qualification wishing to practise professionally in Australia. As a registered member of STAA you have access to the STAA Mentoring Program (highly regarded professional support and education program) to help you develop and maintain your business.

Associate Member
$85/annum
This membership level is for people who are not currently practising professionally but would like to maintain a relationship with STAA and its community. This level enables you to stay up to date with news, events and developments in the field. ​ Associate membership is also for practitioners in aligned modalities who could benefit from participating in STAA events and being involved in our community.​​​​​​

Lapsed Members
If you were previously a member of STAA and have let your registration lapse:

Before a year has passed, if for example you have taken Maternity/Paternity leave or lapsed due to medical reason, you will need to:

Pay a membership fee of $230 + $100 Admin fee

REQUIREMENTS​

Diploma of Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies HLT50207, HLT50212 or HLT 50215

Current First Aid + CPR certificate (CPR refreshed annually)

Professional indemnity insurance to the value of $20 million

20 points of Continued Professional Development annually
